What should I wear?

Whatever you feel your best in! I know that's a super generic sounding answer, but it truly does vary from person to person. There are no colors to avoid or stick to, they all show up beautifully. My main recommendation is to avoid things that are too tight, or that are uncomfortable to walk around or sit in. Wearing tight uncomfortable outfits limits the number of poses we can do, and the photos end up feeling a bit more stiff.

What time will the session start?

Sessions start either in the evening or morning. Evening sessions begin approx. 2.5 hours before sunset, and morning sessions begin at 8:30 am. No one looks their best in midday sun, so this ensures that we get the best and most flattering lighting!

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you decide your pricing?

We pride ourselves in being upfront about pricing and what you'll get in each package. All of the photos listed in each package are included in the price (fully edited and in high resolution), as well as 100% printing rights.

So many hidden variables go into making someone a 'good photographer', such as posing skills, the ability to create a fun shooting atmosphere, knowing the best shooting spots in the city, knowing the best parking spots (this is a superpower in Austin), efficient communication prior to the shoot, and editing skills. It's so much more than just taking a photo! The prices reflect our years of honing in on these skills.

What is the difference between a session with Paige and a session with Mia?

We're both experienced professionals who have been taking senior photos for years! Paige started the Pretty in Pink brand and is the lead photographer, and Mia has been brought on as an additional photographer. No matter who you book with- Paige culls and edits all of the photos, communicates with clients via email prior to the session, and hosts the zoom planning call. With either one of us as the photographer, you'll be getting the same Pretty in Pink experience.
